Over 2 million views of the new safe driving for life website

Jul 2, 2021

On 28 April 2021 our new Safe Driving for Life website went live. Since then, the site has been viewed over 2 million times and more than 10,000 eLearning subscriptions have been purchased via the site. We’ve also received valuable feedback from many of you and National Associations Strategic Partnership (NASP) about the content on the site. We want to update you on the trial, on what we have done to improve the content on the site and explain our plans to officially promote the site more widely.

Improving the content

It’s extremely important to us that information on the site is clear, accessible, accurate and that it is a trusted source for instructors, learners and their friends and families. We are therefore grateful to all of you who have taken the time to review the site and give us feedback on the content and functionality. We’ve worked hard with TSO – DVSA’s official publishing partner – who manage the site on our behalf – and NASP to update and improve the content based on your feedback. We will keep the site under constant review and will continually develop it by adding exciting new content, learning modules and functionality. Of course, we will keep you updated on this progress.

A valuable resource

Following these improvements to the site the Chair of the National Associations Strategic Partnership, Peter Harvey, said: “NASP have been pleased to be involved in the recent updating of the Safe Driving for Life site. It is much improved in content, for the general public, learner drivers and instructors alike. We feel it should help to improve knowledge both pre and post-test and are happy to be involved in its continual development and updating.”

Testing the new features

On 28 April we told you that we would work with instructors to trial the new features with them and their pupils. So if you are using the new feature that allows learners to link to their instructor via the site, we want to hear from you. Tell us your stories, and share the experiences of you and your pupils at: feedback@safedrivingforlife.info This will help us with the continued development and improvement of the site. This feature is free for you to use if your pupil has an eLearning subscription. It will help you to monitor your pupils’ driving theory knowledge and understanding and use the information to tailor future lessons.

What’s next

We are thrilled with what has been achieved so far and look forward to the site’s continued success. In the coming weeks we are planning to promote it more widely and encourage all pre-learners, learner drivers and their friends and family to use it.
